Frequently Asked Questions

How are US orders shipped?

Gaslab utilizes United Parcel Service (UPS) as our preferred carrier. UPS provides Gaslab discounted shipping rates that we pass on to our customers.

You may also select Federal Express (FedEx), DHL, or United States Postal Service (USPS) shipping at checkout.

We endeavor to ship all orders received before 1:00 pm et. the same day Monday through Friday based on supply. USPS orders are shipped the following day Monday through Friday.

While USPS is typically the lowest cost carrier, we do not recommend this method of delivery.

I need delivery tomorrow. Can you ship overnight?

When overnight shipping via Federal Express (FedEx) or United Parcel Service (UPS) is requested we endeavor to ship these orders the same day based on supply. In the event we cannot fulfill an overnight shipping request we will contact you to arrange for alternate methods of shipping. For overnight delivery select the next day service in the checkout process and we will work to satisfy your request.

How are International orders shipped?

We ship anywhere in the world our shippers operate. Shipping options will be listed at checkout. All applicable duties, tariffs, taxes, and brokerage fees will be the customers responsibility.

IMPORTANT: USPS does not offer tracking beyond the US border for USPS International Shipping. If you select USPS International Shipping, we cannot guarantee delivery after the shipment leaves the United States.

Can I use a freight forwarder for international shipments?

Because of the high costs of UPS or FedEx shipping, many of our international customers use package forwarding companies.

Popular package forwarding services in the United States include MyUS.comUSAbox.com and USAGlobalMail.com.

You should review each of these to see which best meets your requirements.

To utilize a freight forwarder, orders with Gaslab will need to be placed directly with our sales team and not online.

For assistance, please contact sales@gaslab.com and be prepared with all your freight forwarders contact information.

How do I track my order?

We will email you a UPS or FEDEX tracking number the same day we ship your order. If you have not received the email within 2 business days of ordering, send us an e-mail and we'll track it down for you.

How are Certifications of Calibration made Available?

1) If requested at the time of purchase a certificate of calibration will be created at no charge to the customer.

2) A device can be sold and then returned through the Return Materials Authorization (RMA) process for calibration. A fee of $150 is applicable for this calibration service. See our RMA policy in the FAQ section of our site.

*Note that the customer is responsible for inbound and outbound shipping charges associated with RMA's.

If a device has shipped from the Gaslab facility without a certificate of calibration being requested at the time of purchase our office is unable to provide the information after the fact. The only way to create a certificate of calibration for devices that are already in the field is to return them through the RMA process for a $150 calibration fee.

Do you accept POs?

Businesses, wholesalers, international business customers, research facilities, governmental units, schools and universities are encouraged to use our online RFQ form for fastest response. You can also email a purchase order to Sales@Gaslab.com or fax to (866) 422-2356 including item(s) requested, quantities, contact information, e-mail address and shipping instructions.

Failure to provide all relevant information will extend the quotation and payment processing timeline. We will e-mail a Sales Order back to you with total cost and instructions to complete payment.

Can I pay by check/MO/wire transfer/Net30 or use another carrier?

Most businesses, wholesale and international business customers who place an order by PO will be asked to pre-pay their initial order by credit card, check, money order, or wire transfer. Payment terms are reserved for select customers with who we have established a prior business relationship with. Please call (386) 310-4933 M-F 9-2 EST or email Sales@Gaslab.com to request a credit application.

Can I use my own FedEx or UPS account to pay for shipping?

If you wish to use your preferred carrier and account information, orders with Gaslab will need to be placed directly with our sales team and not online. For assistance, please contact sales@gaslab.com and be prepared with your account information.

Why doesn't PayPal show the shipping charges?

When you select the option to pay via PayPal, it only shows the item total, not the final billing total. Note the instructions on the bottom of the PayPal payment page: "click continue to return to Gaslab.com to complete your order.

Clicking Continue in PayPal does not complete your order. When you click continue, you are returned to the Gaslab.com checkout cart, where you can select shipping options, add any coupon codes, then complete the order (or cancel). Shipping costs will be added to your PayPal total automatically.

Is my credit card information safe with you?
All online credit card transactions (PayPal or ShopPay) are secure and managed by Shopify Payments. Sales placed with our sales team are secure transactions conducted by VersaPay.

Can I just call and place an order?
Orders can be placed with our technical sales team by contacting us at (386) 872-7665 M-F 9-2 et. or at Sales@gaslab.com. This is also the best method of establishing a long-term relationship with Gaslab as well.

What is the difference between Gaslab® and CO2Meter?
GasLab® was acquired by CO2Meter in 2022. We continue to support the CO2Meter.com website and devices as we work to integrate the two companies.

All GasLab® related sales and support questions can also be directed to CO2Meter.

Do you offer installation?

Our products including our oxygen and CO2 safety alarms are designed to be easily self-installed. In most cases all you need is a 120VAC wall outlet and a screwdriver. However, if you require additional CAT-5 Ethernet cable runs, 24VDC power runs, battery backup, relay or 4-20mA connection to your HVAC system or to emergency first-responders you should hire a qualified and licensed contractor. We have a list of them in several states. In addition, many of our corporate clients work with ISN World, a global database of qualified contractors. Contact ISN here.

What kind of warranty do you offer?

Our devices come with one (1) year limited manufacturer's warranty that is specified on the individual product pages. The warranty begins with the date the device was shipped to the buyer.

Sensor sales come with a ninety (90) day limited manufacturer’s warranty that is specified on the individual product pages. The warranty begins with the date the sensor was shipped to the buyer.

During these periods of time, Gaslab.com warrants our products to be free from defects in materials and workmanship when used for their intended purpose and agrees to fix or replace (at our discretion) any part or product that fails under normal use. To take advantage of this warranty, the product must be returned to Gaslab.com at your expense. If, after examination, we determine the product is defective, we will repair or replace it at no additional cost to you.

This warranty does not cover any products that have been subjected to misuse, neglect, accident, modifications, or repairs by you or by a third party.

The warranty does not cover the calibration of the device. Calibration services are available upon request by contacting Sales@gaslab.com.

No employee or reseller of Gaslab.com's products may alter this warranty verbally or in writing without Gaslab's express written consent.

It is our customers responsibility to share your application with the Gaslab sales team so they can help identify any potential issues your application may cause with our devices. Important information to share will include expected gas concentration, temperature, humidity, and any other particles or gases in your application.  Applications with interfering gases can damage our sensors and devices. Those applications with high humidity can damage the electronics and the sensors beyond repair.

What is your return policy?

No sensors or boards may be returned for refund. Other products will be accepted for return for refund less shipping costs within 10 days from shipment. All returns for refund will incur a 25% re-stocking fee.

To receive any refund the product with the original box and all parts, manual, and packaging must be included. The item must be received at GasLab.com in the same condition it was delivered.

What is your return policy?

An RMA number must first be obtained to process any return under warranty, for service, calibration or refund. Call (386) 872-7668. Please have your original order number ready.

Please use the original packaging (if available) when returning the product to GasLab. Write "RMA - RMA number" on the outside of the box so we can identify the issue described. Include your contact information inside the box. Secure the product inside the package to prevent any damage during transit.
Ship to:
